Location
Located just 45 kilometres east of Vancouver (we are just 45 minutes from Vancouver International Airport) on Canada’s west coast, Langley is the ideal location for students to improve their English while achieving their academic goals. By international standards Langley is an extremely safe and friendly community, with a small city atmosphere and strong community spirit. With more than 95% of our 120 000 residents speaking English as their native language, international students have unlimited opportunities to improve their English while being immersed in Canadian culture. Students can also enjoy all that the Greater Vancouver area has to offer with their homestay family or on school field trips.
Activities
There is a lot to do in Langley. Willowbrook Shopping Centre has 150 stores to wander through, and the main street of the city has many coffee shops, restaurants and shops to enjoy. The Colossus Theatre complex shows a variety of Hollywood, Canadian, and international movies on its 19 movie screens and an IMAX theatre. In addition to numerous local community festivals and school events, there are many sports teams and cultural clubs that students can join.
Climate
The climate in Langley is moderate. Summers are dry, with temperatures from 23°C to 30°C. Winter temperatures in Langley are usually between 5°C – 10°C. It rarely drops below 0°C, and it rarely snows.
